Small space furniture & ideas
Whether you live in a studio apartment, a small house, or even a tiny home, it’s important to furnish your small space with the right designs. Not only does the scale of your furniture have to reflect the size of your home, but it’s also important to use creative storage solutions to hide away any clutter. Below, we’ll guide you through our favorite small space decorating ideas.
Make every room multi-functional:
One of the best ways to maximize space in a small home is to combine two rooms into one. Using a sleeper sofa, futon, or sofa bed, you can have a living room and bedroom in the same room (no walls required!). A room divider can also help to create that sense of privacy when necessary.
The same goes for dining rooms. If you don’t have enough space for a separate dining room, consider a set of nesting tables. When not in use, you can nest them together and hide them in a corner. Then, when you need a place to set plates and drinks, separate them out again.
A counter dinette with a set of bar stools is another great option. This multifunctional design can act as a kitchen island, a dining table, as well as a desk. There are also dining sets that are designed so that the chairs slide under the table, creating a compact piece of furniture when not in use.
