It has an 8 year limited warranty, and I knew it wouldn't last eight years but was hoping for 3-5 years. It made it through two winters...barely. By the end of its second winter it had holes in it from rubbing on the frame of the pool. The metal eyelets, that the coated wire tie down goes through, are pulling away from the thin tarp cover. Our pool is a 24' diameter round above ground pool. We bought a much bigger cover, 28', to be sure to have enough. The cover keeps out leaves but allows water to drain into the pool from the of the cover, which makes the water greenish. However, if you winterize your pool properly and open it early enough, it's not too bad. The pool cover tarp is thin and cheap and is brittle by the second year. It may do better is different climates. We're in Zone 6a/5b. The coated wire tie down cable that came with the winch only lasted one season. The coating came off and the wire rusted. We bought a new cable last year.
OVERALL, I am pleased with it primarily because it fit. Once we got the cover on and winched down, we wrapped the blue pool plastic wrap around then tied water jugs evenly around. (We have strong winter winds here.) Since it only lasted us barely two years, I do wish the price was cheaper. I'll look for a cheaper or affordable better quality one for the upcoming season, but if I can't find one then I'll order this one again.
