    Great Family Pool
PROS We installed this pool at the beginning of summer and enjoyed it all season long. It took two of us to install and a third person for an extra set of hands. Found it relatively easy to do. We prepped the site well and that made the install go better. Also able to landscape and put gravel around it and it helps keep the grass out. Perfect size for my 4 and 5 year olds. Heard they get rusty after a few years, but a great alternative to the popular temporary pop up pools for a comparable price. Had to patch liner already (got jabbed with a toenail), but it held fine. I purchased the patch kit with the pool and had it on hand. Smaller pool = less water = less chemicals. It stayed beautiful all summer with just the factory pump and filter. Buy extra filters with the pool. Easy to maintain and the water stayed nice and warm. We swim at night a lot and it stays toasty. Nice to leave it up and keep the ground free of mud around it, no worries of collapse, no need to put it up every year. Most items sold for pools at US Deal Mall (covers, solar blankets, accessories, etc.) are compatible with this size. Overall a Great Value! CONS Parts missing when it arrived. Spoke to the company repeatedly and they were in no hurry to make the order right. Took 10 days to get new parts in and when they arrived they were packaged very poorly and bent. We were able to salvage the parts and get the pool up anyhow. Customer service very very poor. Porthole lens design is poor. Keeps popping out. A neat feature, but wish they had left it out. Worried about damage to the liner through the porthole. We will probably have to cover it up next year. When pool arrived the pump assembly was not attached flush. Had to unscrew it and shave off plastic burrs that prevented it from attaching correctly and running. Once we re-attached it worked fine and haven't had any problems since. Design of skimmer/filter/pump makes it hard to clean, winterize, and chage filters without allowing junk back in the pool. Changing over system next year to sand filter/salt water system. Parts available online to do this, but still unsure how it will go. Can't purchase new filters at US Deal Mall stores, only online. Finding compatible parts at pool stores impossible. Must order everything online at usdealmall.com and is inconvenient. OVERALL for $400 this permanent pool is a great value and the kids were in heaven. Might not be the right pool for everyone, but perfect for us and a wonderful alternative to buying and putting up a pop up pool every year. If you can tolerate all the quirks about it you will save money and have a respectable finished product.

    pool set up
The instructions recomend 2 or 3 people to help in seting it up and I found it to be true. If there is wind, that will make it hard to keep in place. After a few days of use, I noticed that the wall came out from the bottom track. The design of the track will not hold the wall from slipping out. That caused the liner to bulge out from under the track. At that point, the only way to get the liner back in is to drain the whole pool.

    Heritage 15' x 36' Pool Thumbs Up!

I bought this pool several years ago. My husband and I are older with young children. I wanted a pool to play in. It,s a great height for playing volley ball with a beach ball or baseball. Its also, great for the little ones because their not spending their time clinging for life on the sides of the pool. We have had ours for 3 years? This year we are converting to a sand filter and salt chlorination. Yippie! Great Pool Experience for all to have!

a very good pool for the price

This is a good pool and good value. I got this pool for my son who is 10 and autistic and he benefits no end from the exercise and stimulation of a pool he can submerge in. (He can swim like a fish and hold his breath.) It's not so deep that I have to worry because he can always just stand up. We are now on our second year. I did not winterize or cover mine this winter so it was filled with leaves and I thought there might be holes in the liner but it was fine. I just drained the rest of the water with an aquarium pump (I use a rio submergible.) The pool was already better than half empty so while it drained I scooped the leaves out with a leaf net. Then when it was too low to pump anymore water out I took a rectangular bathroom trash can and pailed the little remaining water out. I then took some bleach and water and a wash rag and wiped it down. Filled 'er up and she's as good as new. No holes. No liner issues. The walls did not fall down over the winter even though the pool was nearly empty. The pump works. It's a pretty sturdy little piece of work. I think mine is like 16 or 18' round and it's a good size to bob around in with my kiddies if I want to get in. My kids love the side design too. Dolphins and what not. Very cute. It is the sort of thing you can take down and move if you want to someday. Not so hard to get up or down that you could not move it again without killing it. Do not be discouraged if you have a hard time getting the ground level or you get green water. Ground prep is the key just work and work at it until you know it's right because the pool is only as level and the dirt and sand it's on. Be sure you do get a truck load of sand for the bottom. You really need to have it to get a smooth bottom. It is always hard to master water chemistry so just expect some issues, green water or cloudy water, if you are learning it for the first time no matter what you put your water in. As far as this pool goes it is a great value. When I was a kid we used to have a big above ground pool, the permanent kind, and this is a similar set up and design but smaller and with thinner posts.

    its a great starter

You have to know how to maintain a pool. They do not clean theirselves-even with a strong pump. I am on my 3rd year with this and I got my moneys' worth. You need a hose sweeper, so you use water to vacum it. Skim the debris out ofter and use proper clorine-mine sparkles.

    Prepositioned Cutouts

Setup instructions were good for the second timer. The precutout holes do not allow for using your own filtering system. The "port hole" is not tapered or flexable to conform to the round side of the pool leaving gaps that little fingers can unclip and cause a hudge hole in the pool liner when the water tries to rush out under the pressure. The top railing does not interclip to ensure that there are no sharp edges where the fittings come together... I have used duct tape over the fittings to save little fingers.. Not pretty, but effective. Placing the liner in the center of the pool proved to be a real challenge and had to drain the pool a couple of times to "get it right". A marked pattern in the center of the bottom would tell you if you had the liner right side out and centered before you add the water. The paper composit filter system did not effectively clean the volume of water with this pool. Overall I would still recommend this set up for the first timer that is ready to spend an extra $100-$200 on the base leveling and sand.

    DO NOT BUY

We thought this pool was great the first year that we had it, areally great value and all, then when we opened it in the spring we realized the mistake. The pools filter isnt powerful enough to use a vacum attachment with it so you have to get in the filthy water and just use the hose to try and clean it. I have cleaned it 5 times now and you can hardly tell. The filter is really useless. As is the pool now. I would rather swim in a lake.

Filter is junk and $220 to replace it

I bought this pool at the end of last summer and the filter stopped working before fall, and now I see to replace it its $219.00 which is insane since the pool was only $200, I see I'm not the only one looking to replace this part, I'm going to every site this pool is on and giving it a bad review, because the only help I got from their customer service is Oh well!

    Warning

I bought this pool the other day, it took 6 people to put it up in 10 hours, and after that was done with we started to fill it with water. well after about 3 hours of filling the pool the whole sides caved in and then the liner streached so when we tried to reassemble it the liner was way to big and did not work. THIS POOL IS NOT WORH THE MONEY OR THE TIME.

    1. Actual water height of ours is about 32" can fill it fuller, but splashes out while playing. We properly filled under the liner with plenty of sand too.

    2. I usually subtract about 4 to 6 inches from the pool size and that is where the water usually falls. So if the pool is 36" I would say 30 to 32" deep. It will vary some if you fill the bottom with sand and do not dig out the middle of the 'pool hole' to allow for that extra sand height.

    3. The top rail is 36, but you can only get 30 in effectively and still have the preselected filter system to work... The holes are precut in the sides,,, you have to cut the liner to match.

    1. I am not sure what gauge the steel is. It is one long flexible (floppy) steel wall that bolts back in on it's self where it comes together. The rails are painted steel, probably hot dipped or powder coated. Each of the side walls rails are connected on top and bottom to other bow shaped steel rails that join together to form a circle and the wall goes inside this to hold it in a circle shape. There is nothing plastic on it. Hope that helps.

    2. Thin Gavalinized ,, support rails are also interlocking steel that do not have plastic caps. (I used duct tape for little fingers. Not pretty, but effective.)

    1. No. I would check the classifieds or call pool stores. They will know who can set it up for you in your town. I had a bobcat man level the ground for mine and then I did most of the pool assembly myself, literally just me. When I installed the wall my son helped hold one end up. My mum and sister came out and help me with the liner because you have to hold it over the edges of the pool wall while you pull it to the other sides and keep it even so that is the hardest part. Hope that helps.
