It is lightweight It is also a great pool cover to reduce debri You can cover half the pool and it still works great The price is great Follow instructions and keep it clean after use to keep sharper debri from being pushed into the cover ( I have 3 trees around my pool) I also had my trees trimmed to reduce debri, and with this cover, it has worked a miracle. Yes, it does warm the pool to some degree, but half of my pool is in shade, and I also turn it over to the smooth side to not heat the pool as much...I like it cool since I live in Texas. I have had zero problems with my Intex pool, but I change the filters regularly, I have a vaccum, and I do daily maintenance and I have the water checked by Crown Pools (free) You must have a cover of some kind to control debri, the filter cannot do it alone, or top skimmers--- this cover completes my pool maintenance and has reduced debri so much that maintaining my pool is enjoyable. Some people trim their cover, I have not yet, as it does hang over the edges and the wind did not even blow it off. Even if you only cover half your pool with this, it will still help. I am after this cover for debri control mainly, warming the pool is secondary to me in August. My pool is Salt Water System, and I have had it now 11 weeks, since July 1st.
About This Item
The 18' Round Heritage Solar Pool Blanket helps to maintain the temperature of your swimming pool. This solar pool blanket will allow you to cut down on electricity usage, which will reduce your bill as well. The shape is an exact circle, with an 18' diameter. This round pool solar cover fits well on rigid pole pools. It functions equally well with above-ground and in-ground varieties. The seams are welded for better durability. When covering a pool, this blanket increases the water temperature and reduces the overnight heat loss. This above ground 18' pool solar cover is extra useful during winter, because that's when pools spend less time in use, and you want to keep leaves and other detritus from falling in. The solar blanket prevents evaporation and keeps the pool clean. It is made of durable plastic and has thousands of tiny air bubbles designed to capture and transmit solar heat to your pool for a significant temperature rise. And because it only uses energy from the sun, it's good for the environment, and won't add a cent to your electric bill.
Heritage 18' Round Solar Pool Cover:
- Round 18' pool solar cover
- Increases the water temperature
- Only uses solar heat which is good for the environment
- Prevents evaporation and keeps the pool clean
- Comes with plastic material to dry the blanket and keep it dust free

Just what I needed for my 18' Intex pool!
Fits our 18' above-ground pool very well! This cover is a little bit bigger, which is nice because it sits against the sides, which helps to keep debris out of the pool. We have also noticed that with the combination of this cover and the Flip-Plop we got last year, we are also going through much less chlorine, as it is not "evaporating" as quickly on sunny days. During normal temperatures (upper 60s to mid-70s) we would have to add chlorine at least twice a week. On very hot days (upper 70s to 80s), at least three times a week. So we are also looking at saving some money that way. With this pool cover, the temperature rose at least 10° more on normal temperature overcast days, and even more on sunny hot days. Just remember, put the cover on BUBBLES DOWN! This has been a very good investment, and we are getting so much more enjoyment out of our pool now that the temperature is not so cold! We should have bought this a lot sooner!
I am very happy with this cover. It brought my pool water up at least five degrees alone. I also got a solar heater and both together have so far brought my pool up to 92 degrees. My kids say it feels like they are swimming in bath water. We have an 18 foot round pool.
Was told to get pool cover but others were to expensive. Saw it bought it immediately and thought may have been of lesser quality, but meet above expectation for the price. Over happy. Fits perfectly and works properly.
This is the first year that our pool has been warm enough for me to enjoy it. Easy to put on pool and it stays put. Great product!
love this solar blanket, it not only warms the water it helps keep the water free of bugs and leaves also, which it is a great benefit.
We have had an above ground pool for years, and found out several years ago the solar blanket not only warms the pool (you do of course need direct sunlight) but also helps keep it clean. This is our 2nd one, they do wear out with continual summer use, but we get 3-4 years out of one, and love the warmth of the water when we get in...especially in the evenings. The water is always warmer than the night air. Great product. Our son bought one, and while he has more shade in his pool placement, he still finds the temperature change enough to keep one.
Has made a significant difference in temperature of our pool
Worth every penny!
I was surprised the cover was as thick as it was for the price. As stated in other reviews, it is a bit bigger than 18', but it stays put nicely. On days the sun was actually out (lately not many :(. ) it warmed the pool nicely. It seems well made and came quicker than expected.
Not for my type of swimming pool, but it works
I thought this was for the Intex 18' round pool, but it is too big. I just tuck the edges under. I suppose I could cut it. I believe the cost was too high for the product, because it is only a light piece of blue bubble wrap. But it works. It warms up the top of the pool and keeps a lot of debris out. So, I am pleased with the product but a little unsure if it is worth the cost. This was the only item I could find for a 18" round pool cover, so there wasn't any choice.
