It works wonderfully, just added pool salt, filtered for a day to dissolve the salt , then turned on the system and never had to fo anything to the pool again, water was crystal clear all summer, no matter the use. I have used it for 3 years and plan on using for another. It worked so good I bought one for my daughter! Love the timer, run the system a few hours overnight and then good to go all day! Love this system, makes owning a pool a breeze.... if only it would vaccuum the pool too... lol

Customer reviews & ratings
Great product. easy to use and install. Safe a ton of money in chemicals. No issues. The one time issue I had, intex responded well and fast. It really keeps the water clear. I have used this pump all year long , non-stop ( in Florida) without any concerns. thumbs up!
We purchased a salt water system for our Intex pool believing the hype about how Salt Water pools were so low maintenance, all you have to do is add salt and you're good to go. Wrong! Don't believe it at all. I am so frustrated with this system I'm ready to shred the pool into a million pieces. We purchased this in July of 2012 and it worked less than a month, got a replacement and began using it this year (2013), and again it has worked less than a month. We changed a filter in the regular pump, went to turn the saltwater system back on and the thing fried, literally smoke came out of it. I have called Intex to figure out what is going on and why we have had so many problems and all they want to do is send a part to fix the broken system. Very frustrated. We've had to add so many chemicals to our pool to get the water balanced and make sure everything is working properly that we might as well have a chlorine pool. Would not recommend this product, or any Intex product for that matter, to anyone.
