I love it. I feel safe getting in the pool. The steps are made of hard plastic that won't rust in my salt water pool. It was somewhat easy to put together. We had a few bumps when putting it together but we got it up. I love the fact that I can leave the steps in the pool and lock them so the grandchildren cannot get in unless we are with them.

This is much better than the ladder that came with the pool. I am over 60 and have problems with my feet and knees. I can make it up and down this much easier than a ladder. It was not easy to put together so here are some tips that helped me. I took all the parts out of the box and looking at the pictures I wrote on the back of everything what it was and grouped all matching pieces together. I divided all matching bolts and screws. Have a hair dryer that gets hot so you can heat up the steps so they will be easier to bend. The hotter you get them the easier to bend them. The directions will show you where to bend them. When you get everything together and have to pop the sides on set it on the floor and press down with your weight. That's easier than trying to pop it in while on a table.
I love this ladder because it is more like steps instead of a straight ladder. I had been having trouble using my old ladder because of back and hip pain and now it is so easy to get in my pool.
Go for it !!
Sturdy! Directions were terrible. Thank goodness my husband never reads them. Well worth the price
After shoppin around, I found this to be the best buy of all. It arrived sooner than expected. It was not difficut to put together as long as you follow the instructions.
nice and sturdy
Well., I have waited to give my review and I think I am ready. First..I really shopped around and looked at the ladders and/or steps available for pools. Seeing as I am 200+ lbs and I have bad knees and legs, I wanted something to get in and out of my Intex pool other than the ladder that came with it. It had served it's purpose and was getting really wobbly. I looked at a lot of ladders and steps, pictures weren't really clear, but with reading and finding out materials, I finally decided on this ladder. It was not much more expensive at Amazon, but with ordering through US Deal Mall, I figured I could take it back if I didn't like it. We went thru Site to store (which saved a lot on shipping) and it went in the back of my van with not too much hassle. The ladder went together with a little difficulty. My husband and I got it done in one afternoon and the difficulty was me working with him! Really, not hard to figure if read directions. The ladder requires sand to put in the legs of the ladder on the inside pool part. Since I put my ladder away for the winter, instead we tied weights on the bottom steps . It doesn't rise up too much after we placed a length of wood under the outside steps. My husband explained the mechanics of it. I don't understand, but it helps! I like the idea that I can latch the door and lock it and I don't have to worry about children or animals creeping in. It does like to swing shut after I get up and it can be awkward to try and get out holding door open, but I am finally getting a routine that works. It is resin and it does bend and wear. I check the screws to see if they need to be tightened and I have to move the door a little once in a while to get it to latch. The steps are not very wide and a little steep, but I am still walking up steps and I have a railing to hold on too. Going down is more awkward as it's not like going down steps, unless you go sideways (which is what I do). As I said they are narrow, and I am something of a klutz. I have had this ladder since the beginning of summer and I am happy to say that I am very pleased with the strength, durability and overall performance of this ladder.
Very good product
Great overall product Does what I needed it to do Locks kids away from pool when adults are not available
Good product. Don't think it will last with use.
Price was good. The ladder takes time to assemble. Follow Directions carefully. I am a bit disappointed in the weight and quality. It is a little unstable, and needs extra weights to hold it down. All screws go in to plastic, so the life of the ladder is less due to movement. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The product once put together is durable but the ease of set up is not easy at all, you must bend hard plastic and fit in tiny holes all while holding the bent plastic in place. Then you must add gravel I was not aware of this part when I purchased this item and have to spend more time and money to get the proper stuff that would fit in the tiny holes. It does not feel very sturdy even then but it is an easier product to use in and out of the pool other than the tiny ladder they send with the pool.
hard to assemble
I'm a retired 200lb man that has put together many products and this ladder was almost impossible to assemble it required all my strength to bend the steps into place. it also requires ground leveling measuring leveling and drilling holes. there was not 1 picture of the unit as a completed product. There is no video instructions to follow. the printed instructions are hard to understand. When you go to the mfg's website there is no help.
