A lot of other ladders I've seen need sand to weigh them down or the ladder floats. Does this ladder fill with water to make it heavier and keep it from floating?

    • A. you use sand to fill the sides of the ladder with. you will find a hole right above the bottom steps on the sides. there are extra screws provided so i used them to fill the holes.

    • A. YOU MUST FILL LADDER SIDES WITH SAND,AFTER THAT IT WILL WEIGH OVER 40 LBS. IT IS VERY STABLE IN THE POOL.

    • A. This ladder is impossible to get to the pool floor without sand. It is very buoyant. I used about half of a 40lb bag of play sand. Also... they don't mention this in the directions... there is a small hole in the side of each of the legs close to the bottom. Sand will leak out (very slowly) if you don't plug them. I used a couple of the extra stainless steel screws that were provided for assembly. That solved the problem perfectly.
