This was the most ridiculous project to assemble. When your package arrives...just throw away the directions! They are no help whatsoever. I had 4 people assemble this deck. Two of them were carpenters by trade, and two were construction workers. We started by following the instructions...big mistake..about three hours in it was so apparent that things just did not look right. Between the four men, they winged it and it turned out great. The deck itself is very nice. But we have many left over parts (which by the way are not even on the parts list). Plan on spending about 6 hours on this project (at least). Make sure your ground is level (most important). Good luck
About This Item
Maximize pool safety with the free-standing Universal Fan Swimming Pool Deck. Kids can easily enter and exit your Heritage pool with the help of five sure-grip treaded steps, which are bracketed with handlebars for a solid grip. The fenced in above-ground pool deck minimizes falls. The welded extruded aluminum construction offers stability. Wet bathers are more likely to stay sure-footed on this backyard pool deck. This fits all above-ground pools in the Heritage line. The latched gate adds even more safety, because it helps to prevent toddlers and other small children from having access to the pool ladder.

Worst Ever Instructions
The parts themselves are pretty good......the instructions are the worst I've ever dealt with. We finally gave up on the instructions and started putting things together using common sense. You can't get an orientation on the blow-ups in the instructions, nothing looks right, there appears to be at least a dozen different ways things can go together. Very sparse on details. Maybe if you're an engineer you can figure it out. I'm going tomorrow to get 4x4's to shore this thing up with......anyone who wants my leftover parts are welcome to them.
